Joe Maddon recently said, “The game today would rather lose analytically than win based on feel.”
I think about this and how the more we turn over our decisions to AI, the more we can now blame it when something goes wrong.
Leaving humans in a weird place. “What are you going to do, go against the ai?”
If you’re wrong, you’ll be chastised. As AI systems grow in complexity, they become harder to understand.
It makes you wonder: What happens when a president or a general makes decisions based on AI recommendations?
