Make things better by making better things.
With all the questions and worry about what AI will do to work, how it will affect our jobs, or what it does to craft, it’s unclear what it could break.
But what I hope it breaks is the internet.
In so many ways, the internet is just a terrible experience these days. Not when we’re pulling up directions. Not when we’re watching a DIY video on YouTube. Not when we can DM our friend from college. No, it’s the in-between.
It’s when you’re shuffling through an algorithm whose only job is to keep you on the hook.
This is simultaneously the best and worst time to be on the internet. For influencers and rage-bait artists, their time may come to an end soon—hopefully. And for artists and creators, AI has transformed their work in so many positive ways.
