To be or to become

We can spend an enormous amount of our lives becoming happy.

Once you have the house, the family, the job, the career, the income, the toys, the trips, and so on…we tell ourselves that then we can become happy.

It’s a chase toward a destination.

The alternative is to be happy.

And you don’t need to look hard in our culture of eccentric billionaires to see that money doesn’t produce a state of happiness. That is all a matter of perspective and what you choose to pay attention to.
